This is a quick “mini-series” that we will do over the next month or two that will give you a quick World Tour of the best real estate investing blogs around.

Quick disclaimer…

The internet is full of billions of websites and a ton of blogs. Don’t get your feelings hurt if your real estate investing blog is pretty darn good and not included. Either we don’t know about it yet (let us know about your blog so we can review it)… or it just doesn’t muster up to the others according to our “scientific” formula for rating the blogs.

Anyhow, here is our first review on the real estate investing blogs.

The first blog, Real Life Real Estate Blog, written by a young investor named Josh Houghton is a great resource that covers a variety of issues.

This blog has actually been around for a while, but was originally at www. joshhoughton.blogspot.com/. So… if you are a Google PageRank nerd like I am and like to see the page rank of every page you look at (good way to see how popular the site is) you’ll notice that Josh’s current blog has a page rank of 0.

Check his old URL, which I noted above, and you’ll see that URL has a page rank of 4, which is a pretty darn good page rank. So… his blog isn’t a new kid on the block.

One of the main things that I like about Josh’s blog is that he is a real investor out in the trenches… and he routinely writes blog posts about his trials and tribulations in the real estate investing world.

Josh specializes in lease options and has a bunch of experience in sandwhich leases, so if you are interested in those strategies, hop on over to his blog to check out what he has to say.

I actually have had a chance to speak with Josh a few times over the phone and he is a great guy with a great message to put out there.

Just for you young investors out there, Josh is a bit of an inspiration for you. He is 24 and making it in the world of real estate. If you’re young and have been using your age as an excuse for your inability to reach success… or you think that no one will take you seriously because of your age… GET OVER IT!

Your age has nothing to do with your success… it’s all mindset. Head on over to the Real Life Real Estate Blog and get a bit of inspiration from a fellow young investor.

Okay, now down to the actual review part.

The Real Life Real Estate blog is a well rounded blog with some excellent content.

As of late, Josh has been capitolizing on the recent tribulations of the “Flip This House” series that has been a bit of a buzz on the net. If you haven’t heard of this scandal yet, check it out on the Real Life Real Estate blog.

In addition, Josh let’s you look over his shoulder on some of his real every day action in his real estate investing business. Great info and a great read.

One more thing that I enjoy about Josh’s blog is that he writes reviews on many real estate investing books and courses. These reviews are completely unbiased. Josh has no stake in the course being good or bad… he just gives you the straight truth.

Okay, now for the things that I would like to see a bit different (like I have any room to talk:)

The first is that a bit more detail in his everyday real estate actions would be excellent. I know that people learning about real estate investing like details… everything from A to Z.

One of the biggest things that new investors have a difficulty with is figuring out the exact steps of how something is done. While the best way to figure out how something is done is by actually doing it yourself… there is a lot to be said about hearing how someone else is already doing it.

Instead of describing what happened today, people want to hear what happened and how it was done. If Josh can add a bit of real world “how to”, I can guarantee his readership will go up a bit.

Other than that, I love the content on the Real Life Real Estate blog and it is on my list of periodic reads to see what is going in in Josh’s world.
