92nd Carnival of Real Estate - All About Efficiency
Welcome to the 92nd Carnival of Real Estate. I was asked to host on short notice and given this was a holiday weekend known for kicking off the summer driving season, I thought the theme should revolve around efficiency in real estate blog posts.
With gas at all time highs and with no sign of dropping, efficiency is going to become important for all of us.
Given the theme, I thought I would assign a vehicle ranking to the selected posts. There were a lot of great posts but choosing “winners” based on efficiency of making the point instead of content or grammar or even the subject removed any singular victor.
Please congratulate the top group - the Tesla Roadsters that made their points clearly and concisely.
John Lockwood presents Are Short
Sales Fake Listings? posted at Sacramento Real Estate Blog. This post effectively points out only 5% of short sales actually sell. Interesting news considering this market. What’s selling the most? Read on for more.
Cliff Jacobson presents How We Challenged Our Tax Assessment posted at WebHomeUSABlog. Highly efficient article and worthy of being compared to the Tesla Coupe.
Big Larry presents Baby Steps to Buying Real Estate posted at Holy Cash Cow. This was brief and useful. Four great tips in six short paragraphs. Take a look.
This next group I compare to the BMW 7 series hydrogen powered sedan. These are articles that weren’t short, but still made their points very well and efficiently.
Dan Melson presents Top Ten Reasons Your Home Isn’t Selling posted at Searchlight Crusade. This is great info for sellers and real estate agents alike.Steve Faber presents How to Save Money Building a House posted at Debt Free. Lengthy, but full of good ideas.
Ned Carey presents What is a Tax Sale? posted at Baltimore Real Estate Investing Blog. Ever wondered about tax sales as a form of real estate investment? Ned’s got the scoop.
I was surprised to learn one of the most efficient cars available for the money is the Geo Metro. Fixed up versions of this little gas sipper are going for six times their market value, but many times less than a new Prius. Check out these articles that are extremely efficient, but lack the polish and shine of our previous submissions.
Michael presents Rule to Grow Rich By #2: Refinancing Your Home posted at Michael’s Real Estate Blog.
Debt Freedom fighter presents How to Get Rid of Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) posted at Discover Debt Freedom!.
Purva Brown presents Foreclosure Filings Up… and Why this Might be a Good Thing posted at Sacramento Real Estate Gal.
Denny Oh presents Downtown San Diego’s Condo Inventory posted at SanDiegOh.
Craig Schiller presents Use FLOWER POWER to Sell Your Home posted at HOME STAGING, Rants & Ravings.
Diane Tuman presents Some U.S. Real Estate Actually (Gulp) Appreciated YoY posted at Zillow® Blog.
Tim Soper presents Builder Bankruptcy & A Pallet of Sod posted at Will/Grundy Real Estate Report.
Lauren Mitchell presents Gas Pump Epiphany: Toronto Real Estate Market Refuses To Stall posted at Living In The Neighbourhood Toronto Real Estate Blog.
Pat Kapowich presents It?s Official! The Bottom of the Market Has Arrived. (Major Newspapers act as Groundhogs in Silicon Valley Real Estate) posted at SiliconValleyBroker.com.
APH presents Rent Control Part 1: Microeconomics Lesson & Hoarding posted at Market Urbanism.
Next up are the posts that didn’t really have much efficiency. They lacked the polish of the others or took a long time getting to the point. I consider them SUVs.
Aaron Dickinson presents A New Way to Handle Foreclosures posted at Minneapolis Real Estate Blog.
Matt DiChiara presents Apartment Rental News Top Story: Federal Housing Measure on the Move posted at MyNewPlace Blog.
Tisha presents Keep Your Pool from Drowning Your Budget posted at American Consumer News.
Cindy Jones presents One Bad Apple Doesn’t Spoil the Whole Bunch-Or Does It? posted at VA Real Estate Talk.
Finally, let’s take a look at the least efficient articles. Some wonder why even include them here and certainly some of the submissions never made it off the assembly line, but I think we need to know what makes an inefficient article. Here they are, the Hummers.
Sarah Bandy presents 24 Hours Away To A New Home posted at Tyler Talk A Lot. Is this an article or an advertisement?
Jonathan Benya presents Open House Becomes Drive Through?!? posted at Southern Maryland Real Estate Blog. I understand using humor and pictures to break up a blog site, but why submit this to the Carnival that’s supposed to be the best of the best?
Handy Saputra presents Significant Variables that can Affect Your Home Loan Rate posted at Home Loan, Mortgage Articles, Resources and Information. What this author lacks in writing ability and factual correctness, he made up in volume of submissions. Alas, only one of them was good enough to make it off the assembly line.
Thanks for reading the 92nd Carnival of Real Estate. Hopefully this has you thinking about efficiency in all aspects of your lives, not just at the gas pump. I’m not sure where the next carnival will land, but check the CORE home page for the next location.
